Welcome to The Nelson Inn, Burntwood
The Nelson Inn is situated in Coulter Lane and is believed to date back to 1824 and was actually on the site in the 1500’s.
In the beginning it used to cater for the local agricultural community, the low-level building to the left of the main Public House which is now our Kitchen used to be the local Blacksmiths Shop and next to that was the local slaughterhouse. In these days it was known as the Lord Nelson.
We are a local family-run business and pride ourselves on preparing and cooking all the food on the premises and only using locally-sourced fresh meat and vegetables, cooked to the highest standard.
We cater for private functions to cater for any occasion, whether it’s a hot buffet and party in the bar or a sit down wedding breakfast in our restaurant.
We also have a marquee in the winter months, fully heated and licensed for dining or dancing.
Our team is here to make any occasion a wonderfully memorable experience.
The Nelson Inn enjoys breathtaking views of the rolling countryside.
With a stunning, stylish interior, our approach is friendly, informal and relaxed. We have log burning fires and comfy sofas so it’s that ‘home from home’ feel in the winter months.
There’s a beautiful patio for alfresco dining in the summer and the kids can enjoy our outdoor areas too.
This means you can simply relax and enjoy the day with great food, chilled wines and a fantastic range of continental beers. We are also a popular watering hole for walkers as we are perfectly situated on one of Staffordshire’s most idyllic routes.
The Nelson Inn’s team is built around our close family values. The majority of our team are family members, however, we consider our team to be an extension of our family.
